Native Expressions Opening Reception

Native Expressions Exhibit Opening & Special Performance by Unole, Women’s Drum Group

Saturday, March 2nd 4:00-6:00 p.m. Free to Museum Members $5 for non-members

Join Museum of the American Indian for light refreshments as we welcome Indigenous artist, Becky Olvera Schultz, for the opening of her exhibit Native Expressions.

In honor of this special exhibit, Unole, the Native American Music Award nominee women's drum group will give a special performance.

Native Expressions will feature Native American clay/mixed media masks, gourd masks, photography, serigraphs, rawhide shields, and other mixed media works.

Special Performance by Unole

Unole, Cherokee for "wind," was nominated for a Native American Music Award. Their album, Songs from the Peace Village, is available through cdbaby.
